National Congress ofCareer Practitioners
A biennial national congress of career practitioners has been established to collectively celebrate victories and address challenges in the field.
The inaugural National Congress of Career Practitioners, was hosted in 2019 with the theme ‘Careers in the Curriculum’. The focus was on basic education, which will be discussed next.

SACDA has agreed to host the NCCDP biennially, in order to rotate with the Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology’s Career Development Stakeholder Conference.

This is to ensure that stakeholders do not miss career development related opportunities due to their commitment to other occupations.

The theme of NCCDP 2021 will be ‘Community Career Development’. The focus will be on the South African skills pipeline stakeholders leading to decent and meaningful work.

We thank our members, partners and stakeholders for professionalising the field in this manner.
